The Siemens SENTRON 5SP9432-7KC47 is a 4-pole miniature circuit breaker (MCB) with a C tripping characteristic, rated 32 A at 440 V AC, and a 50 kA breaking capacity tested to IEC 60947-2. It belongs to the 5SP9 design family within the SENTRON brand. The 50 kA interrupting rating at 400/440 V gives it headroom for high-fault installations where standard 10 kA or 15 kA MCBs would need upstream fusing or a current-limiting breaker.
Conductor termination and panel integration
Terminals accept solid and stranded conductors from 0.75 mm² up to 50 mm² (14 AWG to 2 AWG), with tunnel terminals at both top and bottom. Tightening torque is 2.5 to 3.5 N·m (22 to 31 lbf·in). The breaker snaps onto standard mounting rail (DIN rail) and can also be screw-fixed. It occupies 6 width units (roughly 108 mm on a 18 mm/module rail). Mounting position is any, and installation depth is 92 mm.
It withstands shock at 150 m/s² (11 ms half-sine) per IEC 60068-2-27 and vibration at 50 m/s² from 25 to 150 Hz and 60 m/s² at 35 Hz (4 sec) per IEC 60068-2-6. Mechanical service life is 20,000 switching cycles typical.
