It is designed for branch-circuit overcurrent and short-circuit protection in final distribution panels, with a breaking capacity of 3 kA per EN 60898. The 2-pole configuration with neutral switching means it disconnects both phase and neutral, which is standard for single-phase final circuits in many European and IEC-based installations.
Fit and installation
The IP20 finger-safe terminals are standard for enclosed distribution boards — no special sealing needed inside a panel. Energy limiting class 3 indicates it restricts let-through energy well, reducing stress on downstream equipment during a fault.
The MCB is designed to EN 60898, the harmonized European standard for household and similar installations. The SENTRON brand carries the usual Siemens compliance documentation — RoHS, REACH, and CE marking are standard for this series. For a maintenance-spares purchaser or quality-doc controller, the nameplate data and declaration of conformity are available from Siemens directly or through the supply chain.
