It protects against earth leakage (30 mA, Type AC) and overcurrent/short-circuit (25 A, C-curve) in a single unit, saving DIN-rail space compared to separate RCCB and MCB. The 30 mA residual sensitivity covers personnel protection (indirect contact) and fire prevention in standard AC circuits. Breaking capacity is 4.5 kA per EN 60898 for domestic/commercial panels, and 15 kA per IEC 60947-2 for industrial distribution boards — the higher figure gives selectivity headroom in sub-distribution.
Installation and wiring notes
Terminals accept solid or stranded conductors from 1.5 to 25 mm², with a tightening torque of 2.5 to 3 N·m. Supply can enter from top or bottom — no polarity restriction on the line side. Neutral conductor switching is built in, so no separate neutral bar is needed downstream. Rated IP20 once installed in a distribution board with connected conductors — the enclosure provides the environmental seal.
