What this RCBO does on the rail
The Siemens SENTRON 5SU1324-6FP06 is a 2-pole RCBO — residual current circuit breaker with overcurrent protection — rated 6 A with a 30 mA residual trip threshold and B-curve instantaneous magnetic release. It breaks faults up to 10 kA per EN 60898, which covers most residential and light commercial distribution boards. The Type A residual-current detection handles pulsating DC fault currents from electronics and rectified loads, not just pure sinusoidal AC.
Thermal derating and real-world current
The 6 A rating holds at 30 °C ambient. At 40 °C it derates to 5.7 A, at 50 °C to 5.3 A, and at 60 °C to 5 A. If the panel runs warm — near a transformer or in a sealed enclosure — size the upstream protection for the derated figure, not the nameplate 6 A.
Panel fit and mounting
Snaps onto DIN rail, 2 modular-width units (36 mm wide). Depth is 72 mm, installation depth 70 mm. Mounting position is unrestricted — any orientation works. Supply can enter from top or bottom. Rated IP20 once installed in a distribution board with conductors connected.
