The Siemens SENTRON 5SU1324-6FR16 is a 2-pole residual current circuit breaker with overcurrent protection (RCBO) in the super-resistant K design, rated 16 A at AC with a B-curve tripping characteristic and 30 mA Type A residual current sensitivity.
Breaking capacity and selectivity
Rated breaking capacity is 10 kA per EN 60898 and 15 kA per IEC 60947-2, putting it in the standard residential and light commercial range for a 16 A RCBO. The higher IEC rating gives headroom for industrial panels where fault levels may exceed the EN threshold. Energy limitation class 3 means the device limits let-through energy to a level that protects downstream wiring and connected equipment during a short-circuit event.
Temperature derating and mounting
Rated 16 A at 30 °C; derates to 15.2 A at 40 °C and 13.4 A at 60 °C. In a warm enclosure the continuous load must stay under the derated value to avoid nuisance tripping. Occupies 2 modular width units (36 mm) and snaps onto DIN rail. Mounting position is any orientation, with 70 mm installation depth required behind the panel cover. Supply can enter from top or bottom.
Overvoltage category III and pollution degree 3 suit it for permanent connection to the mains supply in fixed installations. Rated insulation voltage is 500 V. Touch protection is integrated on the terminals.
