The Siemens 5SU1324-7KX16 is a SENTRON RCBO — residual-current circuit breaker with integral overcurrent protection — in a 2-pole configuration (2P) with both poles protected. The design is instantaneous (no intentional time delay on the residual-current side). The supply voltage frequency is 50 Hz; operating frequency range is 50/60 Hz. Supply can land on either top or bottom terminals.
Breaking capacity — the number that decides coordination
Rated short-circuit breaking capacity is 10 kA according to EN 60898 and 20 kA according to IEC 60947-2. That dual rating matters for panel coordination: EN 60898 governs residential and light commercial final circuits, while IEC 60947-2 applies in industrial distribution where higher prospective fault currents are common. The 20 kA figure gives headroom for industrial panelboards without needing an upstream current-limiting MCCB.
Thermal derating — don't spec the 30 °C number blindly
The 16 A rating derates with ambient temperature inside the enclosure. At 40 °C it carries 15.2 A; at 50 °C it drops to 14.4 A; at 60 °C it's 13.6 A; at 70 °C it's 12.32 A.
Current production — no end-of-life notice.
