Siemens SENTRON 5SU1336-6FP32 is a 3-pole RCBO (residual current circuit breaker with overcurrent protection) rated 32 A at 30 °C with a B tripping characteristic. It breaks 6 kA fault current per EN 60898 and IEC 60947-2. That B-curve means it trips between 3 and 5 times rated current — standard for protecting cable runs and general-purpose loads where inrush is moderate. The 6 kA rating tells you it safely clears a bolted fault up to that level at 400 V AC, 50 Hz, without the arc re-striking or the case rupturing.
Mounting and integration
Occupies 3 modular width units (54 mm) on a DIN rail. Depth is 72 mm; installation depth 70 mm. Mounting position any — horizontal, vertical, inverted — no derating needed for orientation. Supply can enter from top or bottom; no forced busbar order. Rated IP20 once the distribution board cover is installed and conductors are connected — not for wet or dusty environments without an enclosure.
Thermal derating and environment
The 32 A rating holds at 30 °C. At 40 °C it derates to 30.8 A; at 50 °C to 29.5 A; at 60 °C to 28.2 A; at 70 °C to 26.9 A. If the panel ambient runs hot, size the upstream protection accordingly. Operating range is -40 to 70 °C, with up to 95% humidity. Pollution degree 3 (conductive pollution or dry non-conductive that becomes conductive) and overvoltage category III — suitable for fixed installations downstream of the main distribution board.
