What it is and what it does
The Siemens 5SU1336-7FP13 is a SENTRON RCBO — a combined residual-current and overcurrent protective device in one 3-module-wide housing. It protects a 3-pole circuit at 13 A rated current with a 30 mA residual trip, Type A (pulsating DC and sinusoidal AC fault detection). The C characteristic means it holds through moderate inrush (5–10x rated) and trips fast on short circuits, with a 6 kA breaking capacity per EN 60898.
Ratings that matter for fit
At 30 °C it carries the full 13 A; at 40 °C it derates to 12.2 A, at 50 °C to 11.2 A, and at 60 °C to 10.3 A. If your panel ambient runs hot, size the load to the derated figure, not the nameplate. The 30 mA residual trip is standard for personnel protection in most IEC-based installations. The housing is 54 mm wide (3 modular width units), 72 mm deep, 85 mm tall. Mounts in any position; supply can enter from top or bottom. IP20 with the distribution board installed and conductors connected — fine inside a closed panel, not for wet locations.
