What this RCBO delivers
The Siemens SENTRON 5SU1342-7KC63 is a 4-pole RCBO rated 63 A with a 30 mA residual-current trip, Type A, C-curve, and a 50 kA breaking capacity per both EN 60898 and IEC 60947-2. It is designed for 50 Hz AC systems and occupies 2 width units on a DIN rail. The 30 mA residual trip covers personnel protection (indirect contact) and fire prevention, while Type A detection handles pulsating DC fault currents from electronics and rectifiers. Conductor cross-section accepted is 0.75 to 35 mm² solid or stranded, with screw terminals torqued to 2.5–3 N·m. The unit is halogen-free and silicon-free, suitable for environments with strict material restrictions (e.g., clean rooms, rail, marine).
Supply can enter from top or bottom. The neutral pole is switched (4P with neutral protection). Touch protection is built in. IP20 rating applies when installed in a distribution board with conductors connected. The 2 width units (36 mm) fit standard modular enclosures. Overvoltage category III. Surge current withstand is 1 kA at 8/20 μs. Energy limiting class 3.
