RCBO for 400V 50Hz distribution boards
It carries a B-curve tripping characteristic and is rated 6 A at 30 °C ambient, with a 6 kA breaking capacity according to EN 60898 and IEC 60947-2. The instantaneous design means no intentional delay on short-circuit — it clears fast, which matters for cable protection and selectivity coordination downstream. The 4-pole design protects all three phases plus neutral with a single device, saving DIN rail space compared to separate MCB + RCCB combinations.
The 6 A rating is only valid at 30 °C. The datasheet provides a full derating curve: 5.7 A at 40 °C, 5.5 A at 45 °C, 5.3 A at 50 °C, 5.1 A at 55 °C, 5.0 A at 60 °C, and 4.7 A at 70 °C. If your panel runs warm — say 50 °C inside the enclosure — you effectively have a 5.3 A device. The maximum ambient is 70 °C; the minimum is -40 °C. Mounting position is any, which helps in tight enclosures.
