What this RCBO does on the line
The Siemens 5SU1346-6FP10 is a 4-pole RCBO from the SENTRON family, combining overcurrent and residual current protection in a single 72 mm-wide module. At 72 mm deep and 85 mm high, it fits standard DIN-rail enclosures; the 4 MW width (72 mm) occupies four 18 mm modular spaces.
Temperature derating and real-world current
In a warm panel at 40 °C, the continuous current drops to 9.6 A; at 50 °C it's 9.1 A; at 60 °C it's 8.6 A. If your enclosure runs hot — say 70 °C — the RCBO is limited to 8.2 A. That derating curve (–) is the one to check against the actual load current at the panel's internal ambient, not the room temperature.
The B-curve trips between 3 and 5 times rated current — so for a 10 A device, magnetic release starts at 30 A and is guaranteed by 50 A. That's standard for resistive and general-purpose loads; it coordinates downstream of a higher-rated SENTRON MCCB or NH fuse. Insulation voltage is 500 V, surge voltage resistance is 4 kV.
The 5SU1346-6FP10 is designed and tested to EN 60898 (6 kA breaking capacity) and IEC 60947-2 (also 6 kA). The SENTRON brand documentation package includes CE declaration of conformity, RoHS and REACH compliance statements, and the standard Siemens quality certificate. No halogen-free designation on this variant.
