The Siemens 5SU1353-0KV13 is a combined residual-current device and miniature circuit breaker (RCBO) — commonly called an FI/LS protector — in a single 1+N-pole modular package. It combines Type AC residual-current detection at 30 mA with a B-curve overcurrent trip at 13 A, all rated for a 4.5 kA short-circuit breaking capacity. The 70 mm depth fits standard distribution board cutouts alongside other DIN-rail modules.
Mounts on standard 35 mm DIN rail in a residential or light-commercial distribution board. The 1+N-pole width (two modules) occupies 36 mm on the rail. Spring-cage terminals accept 1.5–25 mm² conductors; strip length 10 mm for solid or ferruled stranded.
Type AC detection means the device trips on sinusoidal AC residual currents only — suited for circuits supplying resistive, inductive, or electronic loads without pulsed DC components. The 30 mA sensitivity provides personal protection against direct-contact faults. B-curve magnetic release (3–5 In) handles lighting and general-purpose socket circuits without nuisance tripping on inrush.
