It combines ground-fault and overcurrent protection in a single 36 mm wide (2 MW) module, saving a DIN-rail position compared to separate RCCB and MCB units. Breaking capacity is 4.5 kA per EN 60898 and 15 kA per IEC 60947-2 — the higher IEC figure matters when the unit is installed downstream of a transformer or in an industrial panel with higher prospective fault current. The 4.5 kA rating covers standard domestic and commercial distribution boards.
