The Siemens 5SU1353-1KL10 is a 2-pole (1P+N) residual current operated circuit breaker with integral overcurrent protection — an RCBO from the SENTRON 5SU1 series. It combines earth leakage and short-circuit/overload protection in a single 36 mm wide module, rated for 10 A with a C tripping characteristic and a 4.5 kA breaking capacity per EN 60898.
Supply can enter from either top or bottom, so you don't have to rework busbar routing if the panel was originally wired for a different brand. The 2 width units (36 mm) match the standard SENTRON modular footprint.
Thermal derating — the real-world current rating
At 40 °C it derates to 9.5 A, at 50 °C to 9 A, and at 60 °C to 8.5 A. If the panel runs hot — say 65 °C inside a sealed enclosure — the continuous current drops to 8.1 A. That matters when sizing for a continuous load near the nameplate rating.
