Siemens 5SU1353-1KL16 — SENTRON RCBO, 16 A, C-curve, 30 mA
The 30 mA residual trip handles earth-fault protection for socket circuits and general-purpose final circuits where the standard demands RCD protection. This is an instantaneous-design RCBO (no intentional time delay on the residual element), so it trips without delay on earth faults — correct for circuits where selectivity with upstream time-delayed RCDs is not required.
Thermal derating — what the 16 A rating actually delivers
At 40 °C it derates to 15.2 A, at 50 °C to 14.4 A, and at 60 °C to 13.6 A. At the maximum rated ambient of 70 °C the continuous current drops to 12.32 A. Storage and transport limits are wider than the operating range — the -40 °C minimum is the handling limit, not a running condition.
Width is 36 mm (2 modular units), depth 77 mm, height 90 mm. Mounts in any position on standard DIN rail. IP20 with the distribution board installed and conductors connected; the enclosure provides the ingress protection, not the device alone.
