Ratings and what they mean for fit
The 5SU1354-0KK32: The 32 A rating at 30 °C is the nominal current; at higher ambient temperatures the continuous current must be derated — at 40 °C it is 30.4 A, at 50 °C it is 28.8 A, and at 70 °C it is 24.64 A. The B-curve (tripping characteristic class B) means the magnetic trip operates at 3 to 5 times rated current, suited for resistive or general-purpose loads with low inrush — common in lighting and socket-outlet circuits. The 30 mA residual current (tripping fault current rated value) provides protection against direct contact for AC-type earth faults (sinusoidal AC residual currents only). The 10 kA breaking capacity rated per EN 60898 is the short-circuit capacity at the device's rated voltage — sufficient for most final distribution boards where the prospective fault current is below that level. Overvoltage category III and pollution degree 2 confirm it is rated for fixed installation in a distribution board. The 2 modular width units (36 mm) fit standard DIN-rail enclosures; the 77 mm depth (installation depth 70 mm) fits typical consumer units and distribution boards.
Installation and deployment context
Mounts on DIN rail in any position. The supply can enter from either the top or bottom. IP20 rated once installed in a distribution board with conductors connected — suitable for indoor panel use, not for washdown or outdoor exposure. Halogen-free and silicon-free construction. The RCBO occupies 2 MW (modular width) units, so it replaces a standard 2-pole MCB slot in a consumer unit or sub-distribution board.
