What this part is and what the ratings mean
The Siemens 5SU1354-1KV06 is a combined residual-current device and miniature circuit breaker (RCD/MCB combo), known as an FI/LS protector. It integrates ground-fault and overcurrent protection in a single 1+N-pole module, saving one DIN-rail position versus separate devices. Type AC detection trips on sinusoidal AC fault currents only. The 30 mA sensitivity provides personal protection against direct contact; 10 kA breaking capacity handles the prospective short-circuit current at the point of installation. The C-curve 6 A rating means the thermal-magnetic trip holds 6 A continuous and allows 5–10× In (30–60 A) for short-duration inrush, typical of small motor or capacitive loads. The 1+N-pole form factor switches the line conductor and disconnects the neutral; the neutral pole is not switched but is opened by the RCD function.
Lifecycle and sourcing posture
For BOM freeze or panel-build planning, this part is sourced and quoted to order against an RFQ. Availability and current pricing are confirmed at quote time through independent distribution channels.
Panel integration notes
The 70 mm depth (D=70 mm) is the dimension from the DIN-rail mounting surface to the front of the device — check gland-plate clearance in shallow enclosures. The 1+N-pole width occupies a single 18 mm modular space on the DIN rail.
