What it is and where it fits
The Siemens 5SU1354-6GV06 is a SENTRON RCBO — a combined residual-current device and miniature circuit breaker in one 2-module-wide (36 mm) package. It protects a single-phase final subcircuit against overload, short-circuit, and earth leakage. The 1P+N pole design switches the line and monitors the neutral; the B tripping characteristic means the magnetic release operates at 3 to 5 times rated current, suited for resistive and general-purpose loads where inrush is modest. Rated 6 A at 30 °C ambient, it derates to 4.62 A at 70 °C — a curve worth noting if the distribution board runs hot. The breaking capacity is 10 kA per EN 60898 for domestic-type coordination, and 35 kA per IEC 60947-2 for industrial installation, giving headroom for high-fault locations. Overvoltage category III and pollution degree 2 cover fixed-installation panels. Mounts on DIN rail in any orientation; supply can enter from top or bottom. The 77 mm depth and 70 mm installation depth fit standard distribution boards. IP20 applies once the board is closed with conductors connected.
Temperature derating and real-world current
The 6 A rating at 30 °C is the headline number, but the derating table tells the real story for a warm panel: 5.7 A at 40 °C, 5.4 A at 50 °C, 5.1 A at 60 °C, 4.86 A at 65 °C, and 4.62 A at 70 °C. If the board ambient runs above 40 °C, size the upstream protective device for the derated value, not the 30 °C figure.
