What the ratings mean for fit
The 5SU1354-7KV13: Type A (PSE/SSF) detects pulsating DC residual currents as well as sinusoidal AC — required for circuits feeding single-phase rectifiers, switching power supplies, or variable-speed drives where standard Type AC devices may not trip. The 30 mA sensitivity is the standard for personal protection against direct contact (IEC 60364). The 10 kA breaking capacity (IEC 60898) means it can safely interrupt fault currents up to that level without upstream damage; this is a typical rating for residential and light commercial distribution boards. The C-curve (13 A) handles moderate inrush loads like small motor or lighting banks without nuisance tripping.
Where it is used
FI/LS protectors of this class mount on DIN rail in consumer units or sub-distribution panels. The 1+N-pole format (switched line, switched neutral) is common in single-phase final circuits where neutral protection is required. The 70 mm depth fits standard enclosures without gland-plate interference.
Sourcing and lifecycle
Lifecycle stage is current. The part is sourced and quoted to order against an RFQ through independent distribution. For a BOM freeze or scheduled replacement, confirm availability and current pricing at quote time.
