What this RCBO covers
The Siemens 5SU1354-7VK10 is a 2-pole RCBO from the SENTRON Super Resistant K design, combining overcurrent protection (characteristic C) and residual current protection (Type A, 30 mA) in a single 36 mm wide unit. It's rated 10 A at AC, with a breaking capacity of 10 kA per EN 60898 and 20 kA per IEC 60947-2. The 30 mA trip threshold covers the standard personnel-protection requirement for socket circuits and wet-area final subcircuits. Type A detection handles pulsating DC fault currents from rectified loads — common in modern electronics, LED drivers, and variable-speed drives.
Temperature derating and panel fit
The 10 A rating holds at 30 °C ambient; it derates to 9.5 A at 40 °C, 9.3 A at 45 °C, 9 A at 50 °C, 8.7 A at 55 °C, and 8.5 A at 60 °C. In a warm enclosure — say a packed panel near a drive — that 8.5 A floor at 60 °C is the figure to size against continuous load. The device occupies 2 modular width units (36 mm) and installs in any mounting position, with a 70 mm installation depth. Supply can enter from top or bottom, which simplifies busbar routing in retrofit panels.
