Type A detection trips on sinusoidal AC and pulsating DC residual currents up to 6 mA smooth DC. The C6 curve (C characteristic, 6 A rated) means magnetic trip occurs at 5 to 10 times In (30–60 A), suited for circuits with moderate inrush — lighting banks, small motor loads, socket outlets. The 1P+N design switches the phase and switches the neutral via a linked mechanism, but only the phase is protected against overcurrent; the neutral pole is switched but not monitored for overload.
