Type AC detection catches sinusoidal AC earth faults only — not pulsed DC or smooth DC — so it fits general-purpose final circuits (lighting, socket outlets, small appliances) but not inverter-fed loads or EV chargers where mixed-frequency leakage is present.
Integration note for the panel
Four modules wide on a DIN rail — standard 18 mm per module, so it occupies 72 mm of rail space. The 2-pole format switches both line and neutral, with the neutral pole switched but not protected against overcurrent (the RCBO's overcurrent element is on the line pole only).
