RCBO for mixed-load protection
The Siemens 5SU1636-7FP25 is a 3-pole RCBO from the SENTRON series, combining overcurrent protection and residual current detection in a single 3-module-width unit. The 54 mm width and 72 mm depth fit standard modular enclosures; supply can enter from top or bottom.
The 25 A rating at 30 °C derates to 24 A at 40 °C and 22 A at 60 °C — if the panel runs hot, size the load side accordingly. Type A residual detects pulsating DC fault currents, common from VFDs, switching power supplies, and LED drivers; a plain AC type would miss those. The C curve (5–10x In magnetic trip) avoids nuisance trips from motor inrush or capacitive loads. IP20 with conductors connected is standard for enclosed distribution boards.
