What this RCBO is and what it does
The Siemens SENTRON 5SU1646-6FP10 is a 4-pole residual-current circuit breaker with integral overcurrent protection — an RCBO — combining earth-leakage and short-circuit/overload protection in one 72 mm wide module. Rated 10 A at 30 °C with a B tripping characteristic, it clears faults at 6 kA per EN 60898 and IEC 60947-2. The 4-pole design (all poles protected) suits three-phase loads where neutral protection is also required.
Temperature derating — what the numbers mean for panel fit
The 10 A rating holds at 30 °C ambient. In a typical enclosed panel running at 40 °C, the continuous current drops to 9.6 A; at 50 °C it's 9.1 A; at 60 °C it's 8.6 A. If your load draws a steady 9.5 A and the panel ambient hits 45 °C (9.4 A derated), you're at the margin — step up one frame or improve ventilation. The 4-module-wide footprint (72 mm) on DIN rail means this fills four 18 mm positions; plan your gland-plate layout accordingly.
Installation notes
Mounts in any position on DIN rail. Supply can enter from top or bottom. IP20 with connected conductors in an installed distribution board; overvoltage category III, pollution degree 3.
