The Type AC designation means it detects sinusoidal AC residual currents only; if the installation contains pulsed DC or variable-speed drive leakage, a Type A or Type F device is required instead. The 1+N-pole form factor switches the phase and breaks the neutral but does not isolate it — the neutral pole opens with the phase but lacks overcurrent protection.
