At 230/240 V AC, 50 Hz, it delivers a 10 kA breaking capacity per EN 60898 and 20 kA per IEC 60947-2, covering the majority of domestic and small commercial fault-current levels. This is a Type AC residual-current device — it detects sinusoidal AC earth faults only. That is the most common type for standard socket-outlet circuits, lighting, and general appliances without electronic loads. The 1P+N pole configuration switches the live conductor and disconnects the neutral without switching it.
Derating curve and panel fit
The 5SU1654-0KK25 carries a full thermal derating table from 30 °C to 70 °C. At 40 °C it is rated 23.5 A; at 50 °C, 21.75 A; at 60 °C, 20.25 A; at 70 °C, 18.25 A. If your panel ambient runs at 50 °C and the circuit design calls for 20 A, this part fits — but at 70 °C you lose nearly 7 A from the 30 °C rating. Feed from top or bottom — no forced orientation.
