What this RCBO is and what it does
The Siemens 5SU1654-6KK10 is a 1P+N RCBO (residual current circuit breaker with overcurrent protection) from the SENTRON family, combining a B-curve miniature circuit breaker and a 300 mA Type A residual current device in a single 2-module-wide (36 mm) housing. Rated 10 A at 30 °C ambient, it derates to 9.5 A at 40 °C, 9 A at 50 °C, and 8 A at 70 °C — the thermal curve governs actual load capacity in a warm enclosure. Breaking capacity is 10 kA per EN 60898, sufficient for most residential and light commercial final circuits where the prospective fault current stays under that threshold.
Fit and installation
Two modular units wide (36 mm) with a 77 mm depth behind the panel and 70 mm installation depth — fits standard DIN-rail enclosures with the usual finger-safe IP20 when the distribution board is closed with conductors connected. Mounts in any position; supply can enter from top or bottom. Pollution degree 2, overvoltage category III — standard for fixed-installation final circuits. Halogen-free and silicon-free construction suits environments where outgassing or contamination is a concern, such as medical or clean-room adjacent panels.
