The 300 mA residual sensitivity is a common choice for general-purpose socket circuits where a lower 30 mA threshold might cause nuisance tripping on leakage from long cable runs or multiple connected loads. Type A detection covers pulsating DC faults, which appear downstream of single-phase rectifiers or switching power supplies. The dual interrupting rating (10 kA per EN 60898, 20 kA per IEC 60947-2) lets you apply it in domestic distribution boards (EN 60898) or industrial sub-distribution (IEC 60947-2) where the prospective fault current is higher. The 1P+N construction switches the neutral, so you get isolation on both poles — important for full disconnection during maintenance. The halogen-free and silicon-free materials reduce toxic smoke and corrosive byproducts in a fault arc event, a consideration for enclosed or populated switchboards.
Integration notes
The IP20 rating applies only when the distribution board is installed and conductors are connected — handle with care during panel assembly. The neutral conductor is switched internally, so no external neutral link is required. The test button requires a minimum of 100 V to operate the test circuit. The 1 kA surge current withstand (8/20 µs waveform) provides some immunity to lightning-induced transients.
