The Siemens SENTRON 5SU1654-7KK32 is a 2-pole (1P+N) residual current circuit breaker with overcurrent protection — an RCBO that combines a 32 A rated thermal-magnetic trip (C-curve) with Type A residual current detection in a single 36 mm-wide module. It's rated to break 10 kA per EN 60898 and 15 kA per IEC 60947-2, so it handles fault currents up to that level without cascading upstream. The instantaneous design means magnetic trip acts fast on short-circuit; no intentional delay.
The 36 mm width (2 modular width units) snaps onto standard DIN rail. Power supply can enter from either top or bottom — no forced orientation. IP20 rating applies once the distribution board is installed with connected conductors, so it's intended for enclosed panel use, not open washdown areas. Mounting position is any, which helps when panel layouts are tight.
Halogen-free and silicon-free construction — relevant for environments where outgassing during a fault could damage sensitive electronics or contaminate clean processes. Temperature range spans -40 °C to 75 °C storage/operating, with derated current values above 30 °C: at 40 °C it's 30.4 A, at 50 °C it's 28.8 A, at 70 °C it's 24.64 A. Pollution degree 2 and overvoltage category III place it for fixed-installation distribution panels.
