The Siemens 5SU1656-1KV06 is a combined residual-current device and miniature circuit breaker — an FI/LS protector — in a single 1+N-pole module. It combines Type AC residual-current detection at 300 mA with a C-curve overcurrent trip at 6 A and a 6 kA breaking capacity, all in a 70 mm wide housing. Type AC (WS) responds to sinusoidal AC residual currents only. The 300 mA threshold suits protection against fire risk from earth faults. The C-curve (6 A) trips between 5 and 10 times rated current, making it suitable for circuits with moderate inrush — think lighting banks, small motor loads, or control transformers in a distribution board.
