The 10 mA trip threshold is the key differentiator here — this is not a standard 30 mA RCD. A 10 mA device is specified for circuits where even a small leakage current presents a shock hazard or equipment risk: medical locations, wet areas, or sensitive electronic loads. Type A sensitivity means it catches both sinusoidal AC faults and pulsating DC faults, which covers most modern single-phase rectified loads (switched-mode power supplies, LED drivers, variable-speed drives on single-phase). Temperature derating is published: 40 A at 30 °C, 37.6 A at 40 °C, 36.4 A at 45 °C, 34.8 A at 50 °C, 32.4 A at 55 °C.
