What it is and what it does
The Siemens 5SU9306-1DV10 is a combined RCD and MCB — an LS/DI protective device. It has Type AC residual-current detection at 30 mA, 6 kA breaking capacity, 1+N-pole, C-curve, rated 10 A.
What the ratings mean for fit
The 30 mA IΔn is the standard sensitivity for personal protection against direct contact in TN and TT systems — it trips before leakage current reaches a level that could cause ventricular fibrillation. The 6 kA breaking capacity (Icn) is sized for residential and light commercial distribution boards where the prospective short-circuit current at the outgoing terminals stays under that threshold. The C-curve (10× In magnetic trip) is the common choice for circuits feeding motor loads, small transformers, or fluorescent lighting where inrush current would nuisance-trip a B-curve device.
Panel integration and wiring
Snaps onto standard 35 mm DIN rail in a distribution board. The 1+N-pole format switches the phase and switches the neutral — the neutral pole is not protected against overload but is switched with the phase. The 70 mm depth (D=70mm) is typical for Siemens 5SU9 RCBOs; check the enclosure gland-plate depth before committing the panel layout.
