RCD-operated circuit breaker — 4-pole, 63 A, C curve
The Siemens SENTRON 5SU9346-1CR63 is an RCD-operated circuit breaker — a combined residual-current device and overcurrent protection in one 4-pole unit. It carries a 63 A rating at 30 °C (derated to 58.6 A at 40 °C, 56.1 A at 45 °C, 54.8 A at 50 °C, and 53.6 A at 55 °C) with a C tripping characteristic, meaning it handles moderate inrush from motor or transformer loads without nuisance trips. The 6 kA breaking capacity per EN 60898 and IEC 60947-2 is adequate for most residential and light commercial distribution boards where the prospective fault current stays under that threshold. Rated AC operating voltage of 400 V, insulation voltage (Ui) 440 V, overvoltage category III, pollution degree 2 — standard for fixed-installation switchgear. The instantaneous design (no intentional time delay on the RCD function) provides fast disconnection for earth faults. Supply can enter from either top or bottom; mounting position is unrestricted.
Dimensions and panel fit
Occupies 7 modular width units (MW) on a DIN rail. Overall dimensions: 126 mm wide, 90 mm high, 77 mm deep (installation depth 70 mm). The IP20 rating applies when installed in a distribution board with conductors connected — standard for enclosed panel environments. Halogen-free and silicon-free construction suits clean-room or low-smoke installations.
