What the ratings mean for the panel
The Siemens 5SU9353-7CR10 is a 1P+N residual-current circuit breaker with overcurrent protection (RCBO), rated 10 A with a C-trip characteristic and 30 mA residual sensitivity, Type A. The 4.5 kA breaking capacity at 230 V AC covers the fault-clearing requirement for most final subcircuits in residential and light commercial distribution boards — enough to interrupt a bolted fault at the panel without upstream fuse coordination issues. Type A detection means it catches pulsating DC fault currents from single-phase rectified loads (LED drivers, switched-mode supplies, washing machine electronics), not just sinusoidal AC leakage. The C-curve (5–10× In magnetic trip) suits motor-start and capacitive inrush loads that would nuisance-trip a B-curve device.
DIN-rail integration note
This RCBO snaps onto a standard 35 mm DIN rail per EN 60715. The 1P+N width (1 module) keeps the distribution board fill factor tight — one pole per final circuit, no wasted space. Terminal capacity accepts up to 25 mm² conductor, sized for the 10 A rating with headroom for voltage drop compliance on longer runs.
