What the ratings mean for fit
The 5SU9356-7CR25 is a 1P+N RCBO combining overcurrent protection and residual current detection in a single DIN-rail module — one width, one wiring step. The 25 A C-characteristic thermal-magnetic trip handles motor inrush and lighting loads that would nuisance-trip a B-curve; the 30 mA Type A residual-current element catches sinusoidal AC faults plus pulsating DC faults up to 6 mA smooth DC, which covers rectified loads like VFDs, LED drivers, and switched-mode power supplies common in commercial panel builds. Breaking capacity is rated 6 kA at 230 V AC (Icn per IEC 61009-1). That means the device can safely interrupt a fault current up to 6,000 A without welding contacts or cascading damage upstream — adequate for most final-subcircuit protection in residential and light commercial distribution boards where the prospective short-circuit current at the board is under 6 kA. If your site study shows higher available fault current, step to the 10 kA variant in the same family. Type A sensitivity (30 mA) is the standard for personnel protection in wet locations and circuits with electronic loads. The 30 mA threshold meets IEC 60364-7-701 for bathroom and outdoor circuits; the Type A waveform recognition ensures it trips on the half-wave rectified faults that Type AC units can miss.
Lifecycle and sourcing reality
For BOM-line commitment: this RCBO is sourced and quoted to order against an RFQ. Availability and current pricing are confirmed at quote time through our independent distribution network. No minimum-order restrictions apply for standard quantities.
Panel integration note
Snap-on DIN-rail mount for EN 60715 (35 mm rail). Single-module width (18 mm per pole) — the 1P+N occupies one module. Wire termination accepts 1–25 mm² solid or stranded copper; strip length 10 mm for the screw terminals. Torque to 2.0–2.5 Nm.
