It integrates a C-curve miniature circuit breaker (MCB) characteristic with a 30 mA residual-current device (RCD) in one housing, saving a DIN-rail position compared to separate devices. The 30 mA residual-current element provides personal protection against direct contact — the standard threshold for socket-outlet circuits in most IEC-based installations.
Temperature derating — the real-world current limit
The 10 A rating holds only up to 30 °C ambient. Above that, the continuous current must be derated: 9.4 A at 40 °C, 8.8 A at 45 °C, 8.1 A at 60 °C, and 7.4 A at 70 °C (–). In a crowded distribution board where internal temperature rises, the effective ampacity can be significantly lower than the label — plan the load accordingly.
Snap-on mounting to DIN rail, any position. Supply can enter from top or bottom. IP20 rating applies only when installed in a distribution board with conductors connected — the device itself is not touch-proof without the enclosure.
