The 4.5 kA breaking capacity per EN 60898 (5 kA per IEC 60947-2) covers most domestic and light commercial fault levels.
Temperature derating and real-world current
The 6 A rating applies at 30 °C ambient. In a warm enclosure — say 50 °C — the continuous current drops to 5.28 A; at 70 °C it's 4.44 A. That derating curve matters if the RCBO sits next to heat-generating devices or in a sealed panel.
Mounting and wiring notes
Supply can enter from top or bottom — no orientation restriction. The IP20 rating applies when installed in a distribution board with conductors connected; the device itself is not sealed for wet environments.
