Thermal derating and power dissipation
The 5SV1316-0KK13: The rated current of 13 A applies at 30 °C ambient. The unit derates linearly: 12.35 A at 40 °C, 11.96 A at 45 °C, 11.57 A at 50 °C, 11.18 A at 55 °C, 10.79 A at 60 °C, 10.4 A at 65 °C, and 10.01 A at 70 °C. Maximum power dissipation is 2.6 W. Panel builders should account for this heat load when calculating enclosure thermal rise, especially in densely populated DIN-rail assemblies.
Dimensions and installation
Installation depth behind the panel is 70 mm. Supply connection can be from either top or bottom. Conductor cross-section range is 0.75 to 16 mm² for both solid and stranded wire.
The device is halogen-free and silicon-free. Overvoltage category is III. Energy limiting class is 3. The function code per DIN EN 61346-2 and DIN EN 81346-2 is F. The design series is 5SV1. The minimum test voltage for testing equipment is 195 V.
