The Siemens SENTRON 5SV1316-1KK10 is a 1P+N RCBO (residual current circuit breaker with overcurrent protection) in a 1-modular-width (18 mm) housing, rated 10 A at 30 °C with a C-curve tripping characteristic. It combines earth-leakage and overcurrent protection in one DIN-rail device — common in final subcircuits where both fault types must be cleared without a separate RCCB and MCB stack. Rated breaking capacity is 6 kA per EN 60898 and 10 kA per IEC 60947-2 — the higher IEC figure applies when the device is used as a distribution board component with a backup fuse or upstream breaker, giving the panel designer SCCR headroom for industrial panels that need 10 kA at 230 V.
The 10 A rating holds at 30 °C ambient; above that the device must be derated linearly to 7.4 A at 70 °C. This matters when the RCBO sits in a crowded enclosure — the 1 MW width (18 mm) limits self-heating, but a row of loaded breakers can raise internal ambient well past 40 °C, where the rating drops to 9.4 A. Installation depth is 70 mm plus the 77 mm overall depth, which fits standard 80 mm deep enclosures. The IP20 rating applies only when the distribution board is installed with connected conductors; the front face is finger-safe, but the terminals are not protected against water ingress.
