It protects one phase and the neutral conductor, rated at C16 with 30 mA earth leakage sensitivity and type F characteristic for frequency-sensitive loads like variable-speed drives or pumps.
The C tripping characteristic handles moderate inrush — think motor starters, lighting banks, or small transformer loads — without nuisance trips, while still clearing fast on hard faults. Type F is the key here: it's designed for circuits with frequency converters or drives that can inject mixed-frequency leakage currents. Standard AC or A type RCDs can desensitize on those waveforms; type F maintains trip integrity up to 1 kHz. At 30 mA sensitivity, it covers personnel protection (additional protection per IEC 60364) and equipment ground-fault detection. The 1P+N pole configuration switches the phase and monitors neutral current for the residual current function, but does not switch the neutral — it's a switched-neutral design for the RCD sense, not a full 2-pole disconnect. At 18 mm wide (1 MW), it fits standard DIN-rail enclosures and leaves room for adjacent breakers or auxiliaries in a crowded panel.
