It combines a C-curve miniature circuit breaker (MCB) for overcurrent protection with a 300 mA Type A residual current device (RCD) for earth fault protection, all in one device that snaps onto a DIN rail. The 300 mA residual current rating is a standard for general socket-outlet protection in commercial or residential final circuits, not the 30 mA required for personal shock protection. The device is rated for 50 Hz systems only, with a Type A residual current characteristic — it detects sinusoidal AC residual currents plus pulsating DC residual currents, covering most modern electronic loads like switched-mode power supplies and variable-speed drives that generate pulsating fault currents.
Installation depth is 70 mm — check your enclosure depth if using a shallow distribution board. Supply can enter from either top or bottom, so no need to flip the busbar arrangement. The IP20 rating applies when installed in a distribution board with connected conductors — it's not a standalone outdoor device.
Rated 2 A at 30 °C ambient, but derates linearly to 1.6 A at 70 °C.
