It protects against both overload/short-circuit and earth leakage in one device, saving a DIN-rail position compared to separate MCB + RCCB.
Breaking capacity is 4.5 kA per EN 60898 and 5 kA per IEC 60947-2. For higher fault levels, step up to the 5SY series. The 1P+N configuration switches the line conductor only; the neutral is switched internally but not protected. Temperature derating is published: 12.35 A at 40 °C, 11.57 A at 50 °C, 10.79 A at 60 °C.
Depth is 77 mm (70 mm installation depth), so it clears most shallow enclosures. IP20 with the distribution board installed and conductors connected; not rated for wet or dusty environments.
