What it is and what it does
The Siemens SENTRON 5SV3314-6LA01 is a 2-pole residual current operated circuit breaker (RCCB) rated 40 A with a 30 mA residual trip threshold, Type A (pulsating DC and sinusoidal AC sensitive), short-time delayed. It includes thermal overload protection and is designed for 230 V AC supply at 50/60 Hz. The 10 kA short-circuit current rating (SCCR) means it can safely interrupt fault currents up to that level without upstream damage — important for coordination in a distribution board.
Mounting and integration
Snaps onto DIN rail (REG) and occupies 2 modular width units (36 mm wide). Mounting position is any orientation; installation depth is 70 mm. The supply can be connected from top or bottom. IP20 rating applies once the distribution board is installed with conductors connected — standard for enclosed panel use. Silicon-free construction suits environments where silicone contamination must be avoided.
