Type B means it detects AC, pulsating DC, smooth DC, and high-frequency AC residuals — the full spectrum you get from variable-speed drives, UPS systems, and photovoltaic inverters. The short-time delayed design (selective/S) avoids nuisance tripping when downstream equipment generates brief inrush or leakage pulses, so it coordinates with sub-feed RCCBs on the same distribution board. Rated short-circuit current withstand is 10 kA per IEC 61008-1, with a permissible let-through current of 7 000 A and an I²t value of 60 000 A²·s. Surge current resistance is rated at 3 kA (8/20 µs waveform). Depth is 70 mm including the terminals.
