The Siemens SENTRON 5SV3356-6 is a 4-pole residual current circuit breaker (RCCB), type A, rated 63 A with 30 mA sensitivity at 500 V AC. It's an instantaneous-trip device — no intentional delay, so it clears earth faults as fast as the fault current drives it. The 10 kA short-circuit current rating (SCCR) means it can safely interrupt a fault up to that level without welding contacts or cascading damage upstream. Overvoltage category III puts it on the load side of the main distribution board, not at the service entrance.
Fit and panel integration
Mounts on standard DIN rail (REG) and occupies 4 modular width units at 60 mm grid spacing. Depth is 70 mm, matching the standard installation depth for SENTRON distribution boards. The IP20 rating applies only with the distribution board installed and conductors connected — this is a panel-internal device, not a standalone enclosure. Supply can land top or bottom; mounting position is unrestricted. Silicon-free construction matters for automotive and painting-line panels where silicone outgassing can cause coating defects.
