The Siemens SENTRON 5SV3444-6LB01 is a 4-pole residual current circuit breaker (RCCB), Type A, short-time delayed, rated 40 A with a 100 mA trip threshold at 230/400 V AC.
The short-time delayed characteristic (selective / S-type) introduces a deliberate trip delay, so it can be used downstream of a time-delay RCCB or upstream of instantaneous RCCBs without nuisance tripping from transient leakage. The 100 mA sensitivity is sized for sub-distribution or main incomer duty where a 30 mA device would trip on normal cable leakage; it is not for socket-outlet final circuits requiring 30 mA personal protection. The IP20 rating applies with conductors connected inside a distribution board — the RCCB itself is not sealed against moisture ingress; it belongs in a panel with at least IP2X enclosure protection.

Snap-on DIN rail mount (EN 60715), 72 mm wide (4 modular width units), 70 mm installation depth. Mounting position is unrestricted — the device operates in any orientation. The finger and back-of-hand safe touch protection meets the requirements for live-part shielding inside a distribution board.
