The Siemens 5SV4346-0LA is a SENTRON residual-current circuit breaker (RCCB) — 4 poles, rated 63 A continuous, tripping on a 30 mA residual current of Type AC (sinusoidal AC faults only). The instantaneous (non-time-delayed) characteristic means it clears a fault within tens of milliseconds — no intentional delay for selectivity with downstream devices.
Ratings that matter for coordination
Short-circuit withstand: 10 kA per the product rating, and 0.8 kA when tested to EN 60898 or IEC 61008-1. The 10 kA figure governs the upstream breaker's interrupting capacity needed to protect this RCCB; the 0.8 kA is the conditional rated short-circuit current with the specified backup fuse/MCB. Thermal derating is flat at 63 A from 40 °C through 60 °C. At 65 °C it drops to 57.35 A; at 70 °C to 48.8 A. If the enclosure ambient runs hot — say, a packed panel near a drive cabinet — size the continuous load against the 65 °C or 70 °C column, not the 40 °C number. IP20 with conductors connected and the distribution board installed. That is touch-finger protection only — no washdown rating. Mount inside a cabinet with a door; this is not a standalone outdoor device. Silicon-free construction matters for automotive paint-shop or semiconductor fab panels where silicone outgassing causes adhesion or contact failures.
