The 30 mA sensitivity is the standard for personal protection against direct contact in residential and commercial final circuits — it clears a ground fault before it reaches a dangerous let-through energy level. The 6 kA short-circuit current rating (SCCR) means the device can safely interrupt a fault up to that level without welding contacts or rupturing the enclosure, provided the upstream overcurrent device is coordinated per IEC 61008-1.
