What this RCCB is and what it protects
The Siemens 5SV5342-0MB is a 4-pole residual current circuit breaker (RCCB) from the SENTRON family, Type AC, rated 25 A with a 30 mA trip threshold at 400 V AC, 60 Hz.
The 70 mm installation depth matches standard SENTRON enclosures. Supply can enter from top or bottom; mounting position is unrestricted. IP20 rating applies only once the distribution board is installed with conductors connected — this is a panel-interior device, not a field-mounted enclosure.
The 25 A rated current and 30 mA residual sensitivity make this a Type AC RCCB — it detects sinusoidal AC earth faults only. It is not suitable for pulsed DC or smooth DC fault currents (those require Type A or Type B). The 6 kA SCCR is the withstand rating under IEC 61008-1; the series fuse maximum permissible short-circuit current is 80 A, so upstream protection must be coordinated accordingly.
