The Siemens SENTRON 5SV6016-6KP25 is an arc-fault detection device (AFDD) and miniature circuit breaker (MCB) combined into a single compact unit — it detects series and parallel arcing faults in final circuits and simultaneously provides overcurrent and short-circuit protection, all in one 18 mm wide module that snaps onto a DIN rail. Breaking capacity is 6 kA per both EN 60898-1 and IEC 60947-2 — that means it can safely interrupt a fault current up to 6,000 A without welding its contacts or failing catastrophically, which covers the majority of domestic and small commercial distribution boards where the prospective short-circuit current stays under that threshold. Rated at 25 A, the unit handles a continuous load up to that current; the 1+N pole configuration switches both phase and neutral, with the neutral pole switching but not protecting.
Snaps onto a DIN rail (REG profile) in any mounting position. At 18 mm wide (1 modular width unit) and 68.5 mm deep, it fits standard distribution board cutouts; the 70 mm installation depth accounts for the pigtail and wiring space behind the rail.
Halogen-free and silicon-free construction meets environmental and outgassing requirements for sensitive installations like data centers or clean rooms. The unit is designed and tested to EN 60898-1 and IEC 60947-2; standard Siemens SENTRON documentation (declaration of conformity, CE, RoHS, REACH) is available on request.
